Deliverables

What we produce in Revit

A Revit deliverable is judged on coordination and consistency: does the model match the sheets, do the schedules match the model, and does it federate cleanly with everyone else's.

Scope your deliverables

LOD 300–400 structural model

Framing, columns, slabs, walls, foundations and connections modelled to the agreed LOD with correct levels, grids and shared coordinates.

Coordinated drawing set

Framing plans, elevations, sections, details and sheets generated from the model, so one model change propagates everywhere at once.

Rebar modelling & schedules

3D reinforcement in concrete elements with bar bending schedules, and congestion resolved in the model rather than on site.

Parametric family creation

Custom structural families — connections, embeds, precast units, proprietary products — built parametric and schedule-ready.

Analytical model & links

A clean analytical model exchanged with STAAD.Pro through ISM, so the design model and the BIM model stay in step.

IFC & coordination exports

IFC 2x3 or IFC4 and NWC issued for federation, with classification, naming and coordinates matching the project BEP.

Interoperability

Revit file formats we work with

Revit is a hub for multi-discipline building work. The exchanges below are the ones that break when they are not set up deliberately — especially coordinates and IFC mapping.

Native formats.rvt model.rfa families.rte templates
Revit import and export formats and how we use them
FormatDirectionHow we use it
.rvt model & linksBoth waysArchitectural and MEP models linked in; the structural model issued out on the project's exchange cycle.
IFC 2x3 / IFC4Both waysOpen-BIM exchange with Tekla and non-Revit disciplines, with mapping tables agreed up front.
NWCWe deliverPublished to Navisworks for clash detection, 4D sequencing and design review.
DWG / DXFBoth waysLegacy backgrounds in; sheets and 2D extracts out for contractors working in CAD.
ISM repositoryBoth waysAnalytical geometry round-tripped with STAAD.Pro so member sizes stay synchronised.
Schedules to Excel / CSVWe deliverMember, rebar and quantity schedules extracted for estimating and procurement.
Point cloud (RCP / RCS)We importScan-to-BIM for refurbishment, with the model built against measured reality.

How we work

Our Revit workflow

Our process is built around catching problems before they reach your reviewer, so the checking stages are fixed, not optional.

  1. 1

    BEP & template setup

Naming, LOD, worksets, shared coordinates, levels and grids are agreed against the BIM execution plan before modelling starts.

  2. 2

    Model authoring

Structure modelled by zone and level with worksharing, keeping the model navigable rather than one monolithic file.

  3. 3

    Family development

Project-specific families built parametric, carrying the data parameters the schedules and IFC export will need.

  4. 4

    Discipline coordination

Regular federation with architecture and MEP, clash cycles run in Navisworks and resolutions tracked to closure.

  5. 5

    Model audit

    Quality gate

Warnings cleared, model health and file size checked, naming and classification audited, and an IFC round-trip tested before issue.

  6. 6

    Documentation

Views, annotation, schedules and sheets produced from the model with view templates enforcing graphic consistency.

  7. 7

    Issue & handover

RVT, IFC, NWC and the PDF sheet set issued together with a model-status report noting LOD and known exclusions.

One stage is a formal quality gate — work does not move forward until a senior engineer signs it off, which is why revisions after issue stay rare.

Choosing a platform

When Revit is the right choice

The right software is the one that produces your deliverable with the least rework downstream. This is the call we would make on your scope.

Choose Revit when

  • A building project where the client's BEP calls for a Revit deliverable and federated coordination.
  • The structural model must stay consistent with architecture and MEP through many design revisions.
  • Schedules, quantities and rebar need to come out of the model rather than being counted by hand.
  • Documentation volume is high and sheet-level consistency across hundreds of views matters.
